Last Saturday at work I was chatting to one of my kids about the rubgy league
He’d told me previously that he goes for the Dragons and his favourite player is Jason Nightingale. Knowing the Dragons had drawn with Parramatta the night before I asked him “Did you watch the Dragons last night?”
He casually replied “Yeah, watched both games.”
Now, this kid is 7 years old and staying up past 11pm to watch some footy! I said “Oh gosh, I didn’t even watch both of them. Who won the other game?”
And he just, yet again, ever so casually told me “Um, the Broncos beat the Sharks.”
So I was like “Oh good, I think I tipped them.”
Then I asked him “Does your brother go for the Dragons?”
And he said “No, he goes for the Rabbitos. And I go for the Dragons and Tigers.”
So now I’m like “AAWW YEAH! Tigers, I like them. Who’s your favourite from the Tigers?”
To which he said “Captain Robbie Farrah”
I continue to get more excited and yell out “Awww Robbie! Good one”
And with that I sent everyone off to swim.
His brother was in the lane next to us at the other end so I asked him “Do you go for the Rabbitos? Who’s your favourite?”
And he said “Issac Luke!”
Yeah, I know what team all my kids go for and who their fave player is… ‘cause I’m just that cool ya know.
